How do I register?
Click on the "Register Today" tab on this website, or visit www.gilbertschools.net and follow the links. There are two different types of Registration. Option 1.) for students who are returning, and option 2.) for new students to Gilbert Public Schools.
Does Steps-To-Success cost money to participate?
Steps-t0-Success is an initiative of the Gilbert Public Schools District. As a public school, we operate at no cost to our students or families!
How many credits can I earn?
Each course is worth 1/2 of a credit. Students take up to 3 classes per 9 week block. which can be up to 6 credits earned per year, yet it still fits within our half-day schedule.
**Students may have the option to go full day and gain missing credits, pending request and approval by administration.

What school will be listed on my High School diploma?
All of our students are assigned a 'home school' (one of the five GPS Traditional High Schools i.e.-Gilbert High School, Mesquite High School, Desert Ridge High School, Campo Verde High School, and Highland High School.) Although you will be completing your coursework at our alternative high school campus (Canyon Valley School), your Diploma will be conveyed by one of the above mentioned schools.
Does Steps-To-Success provide transportation?
If you live within the Gilbert Public Schools boundaries, in most cases, we will be able to provide transportation to and from school.
What are the boundaries for attending?
Is there an age limit for attending?
Can I attend E.V.I.T. while attending Canyon Valley School?
We LOVE E.V.I.T. and the services it provides to students in the East Valley! We can provide transportation to E.V.I.T. When you enroll, you will need to discuss your interest in E.V.I.T. with your mentor and the school counselor.
What if I need help with childcare?
We currently do not offer any daycare assistance, though this is a priority for our school administration. We are currently exploring ways to be able to assist students who have daycare needs.
Can I take classes online?
Gilbert Public Schools is proud to offer online courses through our online component- Global Academy. You can sign up for these courses in conjunction with your daily schedule, or you can enroll into one of our'blended' classroom, where you can work in one of our classrooms on your online class and have one of our teachers in there with you should you need assistance.
